Scotlandsmllicenced

Scotland has given the world many great things - whisky, the telephone, television... kilts.  But as they say 'the best things in life are free', and this is where the world really has to thank Scotland. Boy, oh boy, does Scotland need thanking...

The self-claimed 'adventure capital of Europe', Scotland's landscapes play host to over fifty outdoor activities; mostly accessible to both the amateur and pro alike.

Scotland is half the size of England and has just 6 cities. You start to appreciate Scotland's real beauty though when you start taking note of its 100 rivers, over 500 fresh and saltwater locks and 790 islands.  Unbelievably, Scotland is home to the ten tallest peaks in Britain, as well as 7 of the ten largest lakes and 55% of the United Kingdom's total coastline.

So there's plenty to see in Scotland. The best things in life are, indeed, free.  My weekend just became free too - ooh, Scotland here I come, again...

Spotlight on Glencoe

Scotland's Southernmost ski hill, Glencoe, has been called challenging, unique, and one of Scotland's best snowboarding areas (Snowboard World Magazine, 1995), and with its wealth of natural jumps, gulleys, and pipes, we can even forgive Glencoe for not having a purpose-made snowboard park.
